Comprehensive Initial Exam
Your initial examination includes an intra- and extra- oral cancer screening, baseline tooth and gum tissue charting, diagnosis, and treatment options and recommendations. We will also take pictures and any needed x-rays to aid in diagnosis and dental education. This is a one time exam with the new patient coordinator, doctor, and assistant. Patients need to allow an hour and a half for this exam.
Cleaning and Periodic Exam
Probably the most important service we provide, the cleaning and doctor’s exam allows you to maintain your oral health through preventive care. We at Bowser Center for Advanced Dentistry truly believe that the best way to great oral health is through prevention.
Smile Makeovers
A Smile Makeover is for someone who has concerns about the aesthetics of their smile. Utilizing Veneers, Crowns, Bonding, or sometimes a mixture of all three, we can radically change the size, shape, alignment, and color of your teeth to provide you with your perfect smile.
Veneers
Veneers are strong and durable layers of porcelain shaped and colored to look like natural teeth. The porcelain pieces are placed over the front of your tooth or teeth to improve the overall appearance. Veneers are used to correct worn tooth enamel, uneven tooth alignment or spacing, discoloration and chips or cracks.
Dental Implants
In the past, the only way to replace a lost or failing tooth was to use the surrounding teeth to support a denture or fixed bridge. Dental Implants allow us to replace a tooth or teeth without damaging the adjacent teeth. A Dental Implant acts as an artificial root to support a new crown in place of the missing or failed tooth. Dental Implants are the most similar replacement option to a natural tooth.
Implant Supported or Stabilized Dentures
Dental Implants can also be used to secure a partial or full denture, allowing for better esthetics, function, and durability. Most denture wearers who secure their dentures with implants are amazed with the improvement in the fit and function of their denture, allowing them to eat and talk with confidence.
ClearCorrect
ClearCorrect is the clear and simple alternative to braces. It is a series of clear, custom-made, removable aligners that gradually straighten your teeth as you wear them, each aligner moving your teeth a little bit at a time.
They’re practically invisible, so most people won’t even know you’re in treatment. They fit you perfectly making them more comfortable than regular braces. ClearCorrect are removable allowing you to eat whatever you like and clean your teeth normally.
CEREC Crowns
In the past, all crowns had to be fabricated by a dental lab on a model sent to them by a dentist. CEREC allows our doctors to take digital images of the tooth, design the crown on our computer, mill it out of a block of ceramic, and bond the crown in place. This entire process occurs in only one appointment. Thanks to CEREC technology, you don’t have to worry about hassles with temporary crowns or second visits a month later to have the permanent crown cemented.
Whitening
Our whitening procedures allow for faster, more complete, and more dramatic whitening than over-the-counter whitening strips and trays. Because our whitening trays are modeled to perfectly fit your teeth without leakage, you can use the maximum strength whitening agent. Most of our patients notice significant results within a week, and can continue to whiten until they reach their desired shade. For those who are pinched for time, we can do an in- office whitening before whitening trays. This process takes a little over an hour and patients immediately notice their smile is a shade or two lighter.
Composite Fillings
Our office has been dental amalgam (silver filling) free for many years. Composite fillings are much stronger restorations because the composite can be bonded to the existing tooth structure. Traditional amalgam fillings, which are not bondable, weaken the tooth, while this procedure adds strength and resistance to breakdown. Another important difference between silver and composite fillings is that composite resin is mercury free and tooth colored, allowing for a healthier, more beautiful, and longer lasting restoration.
Sealants
Sealants are a very important preventive measure to fill in the deep pits and grooves of newly erupted teeth. The Sealant material is flowed into plaque and cavity traps and bonded to the tooth structure without any drilling or enamel removal. Sealants help protect your child’s teeth during adolescence and teenage years when they are most susceptible.
Root Canals
Advances in Root Canal Treatment have allowed this procedure to become very simple and painless. A root canal may be necessary if the pulp chamber of the tooth, which contains the nerve and blood vessels, becomes compromised from extensive decay or trauma. By removing the pulp from its chamber and by sealing the canal, we can remove all of the infection and save the tooth.
